Old Souls

The beauty and behavior of flowers are identical to the mannerism of us, especially if the individual resides in the area in which that flora inhabits. Old Souls, depicts my grandparents, who migrated from Michigan to the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky to settle down and live out the rest of their lives. Tiger Lilly and Trumpet Vine are the plants that portray them perfectly in character. Tiger Lilly (Lilium superbum) are beautiful, highly saturated in warm colors, and provides a food source for humans and animals alike. Tiger Lily is always giving away itself to a point of endangerment and vulnerability to extinction. Trumpet Vines (Campsis radicans) are also saturated in color, tenacious and provides nesting and welcomes hummingbirds, as if it is truly a family oriented flower
